Dubai: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice-President and Prime Minister, in his capacity as the Ruler of Dubai, issued a resolution that assigned Mona Ganem Al Merri, Director-General of the Government of Dubai Government Media Office, to supervise Dubai Media Incorporated’s (DMI) publishing sector, in addition to her existing responsibilities.
Mona expressed gratitude to the great confidence given to her by Shaikh Mohammad. She said the role assigned to her is a major responsibility, which she will seek to fulfil in the best way possible, maintaining the highest professional standards of ethics, integrity and transparency.
She said that this is in line with the UAE’s media approach adopted by the wise leadership for the local media, which includes inspiring the authentic national principles that promote the moral values and reaffirm the professional principles of transparency, integrity and credibility.
DMI’s publishing sector includes the Arabic daily newspapers Al Bayan and Emarat Al Youm and the English-language news website Emirates 24/7.
