Dubai: UAE Astronauts Hazzaa AlMansoori and Sultan AlNeyadi are undergoing several types of training in preparation for their future missions.

Their training involves flights relying on navigation systems including night flights, formation flying theoretical and practical tests, among others, the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre tweeted on Sunday. They are currently being trained at Nasa’s Johnson Space Center in Houston.

Al Mansoori became the first Emirati astronaut in space when he entered the International Space Station in 2019. Since his return, Nora Al Matrooshi and Mohammed Al Mulla have been recently added to the corps of Emirati astronauts.
