The Dubai Polo Team continued to dominate the British Open polo season. They won the Warwickshire Cup, England's oldest high goal trophy. Hosted by Cirencester Park Polo Club on a glorious summer's day, a packed house witnessed polo at its best.

Two outstanding high goal teams produced a fast action packed game. Dubai, Ali Albwardy's team, includes two exceptional players, Adolfo Cambiaso and Lolo Castagnola. Their opponents CS Brooks Foxcote has linked together two class teams, Brook Johnson's CS Brooks and the Hon Mark Vestey's Foxcote.

It was a closely fought tournament, in which both teams produced fast and accurate play. The fourth chukka was the turning point, CS Foxcote failing to score, which resulted in Dubai extending their lead to 11- 8.

In the next chukka Dubai went further ahead. Cambiaso sent two more home with CS Brooks Foxcote just one from a penalty. The final chukka was played at a fearsome speed with two goals from both teams resulting in a final score of 15-11 to Dubai. Albwardy has a team of strength in both players and ponies, Matera ridden by Cambiaso was nominated Pony of the Match.

Dubai aim to maintain this splendid form in The British Open, the most prestigious tournament in England. The tournament runs over the next three weeks with the finals on July 22.
