Abu Dhabi: The Abu Dhabi Police arrested an Asian man who reportedly tricked a bank employee and stole his money before fleeing, the police said on Sunday.
After the arrest, the suspect confessed to the crime and was referred to Public Prosecution for further legal action.
Police investigations revealed that the customer played a trick and stole the money from the bank employee. Later, he went to a money exchange house to convert dollars into dirhams.
Brigadier Al Khaili asked the banks and money exchange employees to take precautionary measures to avoid such fraudulent operations.
He urged them to immediately report such illegal activities to help apprehend criminals and thwart their criminal motives.
