Iranian ace midfielder Khodadad Azizi has signed up with Al Nasr. Azizi will play with the club for five months until the end of the season. Azizi started training with Al Nasr at the Al Maktoum stadium yesterday.

The Al Nasr fitness coach is working to make him fit for Al Nasr's crucial league match against Al Ain next Friday. Azizi replaces Maman Sherrif of Togo who failed to put up a convincing with the club.

Al Nasr club officials declined to reveal the monetary details of the deal with Azizi. Sources, however, told Gulf News that the club had apparently paid Azizi $160,000 for five months. Meanwhile, Al Nasr is looking to sign Iranian striker Ali Moussawi who is playing in Germany.

Moussawi may replace Brazilian striker Sergio who joins Al Ittihad of Saudi Arabia. Sergio has played 12 league matches for Al Nasr scoring 10 goals. The Brazilian expressed a desire to join the Saudi club when the Al Ittihad officials contacted him.

He has played before for Saudi clubs Al Ahli and Al Hilal before joining Al Nasr last October. Al Ittihad club chairman Ahmed Masood negotiated with Al Nasr officials yesterday in Dubai. An officall who wished to be unidentified said the deal was worth $400,000. Al Nasr club receives $250,000 and Sergio will get $150,000.
