Dubai: Dubai Civil Defence confirmed today that one person died in hospital after sustaining injuries in a fire in a building in Al Karama area yesterday.
Three other individuals are currently undergoing treatment in the hospital for moderate injuries.
The Dubai Civil Defence Operation Centre was notified about the fire at 12:17am on Wednesday, October 18. Al Karama Fire Station, acting as first responder, arrived at the scene within three minutes, at 12:20am. The fire was successfully brought under control at 12:40am, and cooling operations began at 1:02am.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
