Dubai: An Emirati mother is currently being questioned over negligence and failing to render proper care to her five underage children, whom she left under the supervision of two maids for 10 months.
Dubai’s Attorney General Essam Eisa Al Humaidan has instructed the Family and Juveniles Prosecution to open a criminal case against the mother, who is being cross-examined over maltreatment, being negligible towards her five children. The children are all under the age of 15 and leaving them without proper care or good treatment is an act punishable by the UAE’s penal code, said Al Humaidan in a media statement on Wednesday.
The Attorney General instructed further investigation against the mother who is facing primary charges of endangering the lives of her five children after she left them live alone with the two housemaids at their residence.
