Burial only for those on Dubai visas

Dubai Municipality undertakes the burial arrangements and maintenance of cemeteries for Muslims, and has handed over the upkeep of Christian and Hindu facilities to the communities. The municipality allows only those who held Dubai visas to be buried in Dubai.

According to Engineer Salem bin Mesmar, Director of the Public Health Department, the relatives of the dead must get a coroner's report and death certificate from the police. They must be presented to the Burial Section at the municipality clinic.

The municipality transfers the body to the cemetery for free.
