Dubai: Two people sustained injuries and 16 others were rescued after two wooden boats caught fire opposite Deira Creek on Tuesday evening.
According to a statement from Dubai Civil Defence the operations room received the fire report at around 4pm.
Two wooden boats, one carrying 15 cars and the other one carrying paints and diesel, caught fire.
The two boats were totally gutted. Two people were injured and 16 others were rescued. The fire was brought under control at 05:09pm.
