Dubai: The Dubai Driving Centre has opened a branch in Al Quoz Industrial Area 2 near Al Khail Gate to meet the growing demand in the area, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) said.
The 400,000 square metre centre is the RTA’s 15th such facility providing driving licence services. It provides training and testing for all types of driving licences.
The RTA’s Licensing Agency has endorsed the opening of the new branch of the centre, which is one of RTA-certified model driving institutes. The RTA said it is responding to the rising numbers of clients seeking to obtain driving licenses.
“As the Licensing Agency is keen on keeping pace with the sweeping developments witnessed by Dubai in various fields, we are making every effort, in collaboration with our strategic partners, to cope with the rising numbers of driver license applicants. This prompts us to beef up the number of driving centres at world-class standards to ensure customers are happy, and at the same time promote the sound driving principles,” said Ahmad Behroozian, CEO of RTA’s Licensing Agency.
“The new branch fulfils the requirements of model driving institutes, thus cuts short the waiting time for a large number of customers before starting the training and qualification needed for driver license test in accordance with standards tailor-made to ensure potential drivers have been well trained to drive safely on roads. RTA recognises that Dubai is always on the up, and we have got to keep abreast of customers’ expectations by putting more efforts in the driving learning sector that is one of the vital sectors supporting the sustainable development of Dubai. In this regard, RTA will endorse new locations for licensing drivers in other districts to ensure an even geographical distribution of these facilities in the interest of the emirate.”
