Star Energy Resources Ltd (Serl), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Star Energy Corp and a supplier of petroleum storage and blending services, has completed the Phase-4 tank expansion project at Jebel Ali ahead of schedule.

The three class-1 tanks built by CBI Eastern Anstalt, with a combined capacity of 90,750 cubic metres, were commissioned mid-April, four weeks ahead of the contract completion date. CBI Eastern Anstalt, W.S. Atkins and Northcroft Middle East were Serl's contractors.

"This was a fast-track project and we are proud to have achieved a record completion time and within budget," said Dennis Clark, general manager for the Jebel Ali terminal, set up in 1987.

Nazar Khan, corporate general manager, said, "The Phase-4 expansion was the latest in a series of project initiatives we are planning to undertake in the coming five years. "These will enable Serl to continue providing clients with the highest level of quality, safety and environmental standards."
