Abu Dhabi: While the global financial crisis and its after affects are still being felt around the world, at the eighth annual Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition, luxury is still the name of the game, with stands offering everything ranging from diamond-encrusted falcon hoods to international hunting trips.

"This is the first time we exhibit here and are excited to use Adihex as the platform to premiere our unique falcon hoods. Each is a one-of-a-kind piece that is made of only the finest leather, high-quality gold, precious and semi-precious stones and even pearls, with prices starting from Dh30,000 upwards," Hannes Gamper, Chief Executive Director and Jewellery Designer, Tiroler Goldschmied, said.

"We developed a new system in order to make sure that we are not just able to create every piece perfectly but that we also meet the demands of clients. It takes one month to complete one hood, each with its certificate of guarantee, and we even include unique touches," he added.

The four-day event is held under the patronage of Shaikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in the Western Region and Chairman of the Emirates Falconers' Club, and organised by the Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage.
