Dubai: Facebook users may contribute in the cause of raising awareness about autism by liking the Homes r Us Facebook page.
For every ‘like’ the page receives, Homes r Us will contribute a dirham to enhance Dubai Autism Centre’s school infrastructure and facilities.
“We want to create awareness about autism in the community such that these children can be part of our society just like the other kids,” Srikanth Parthasarathy, Senior Vice-President, Homes r Us, said.
Autism is a lifelong neurological disorder that affects the normal functioning of the brain resulting in development delays in the areas of social interaction and communication skills. But with appropriate intervention, the symptoms might be reduced and skills can be acquired.
