Abu Dhabi: Cold medication Actifed has been recalled from Abu Dhabi pharmacies and markets due to an error in the medicine's information literature.
The General Medical Services Authority in Abu Dhabi recalled the medicine due to a printing mistake about the dosage for children between 2 and 5 years old.
The literature wrongly stated the dosage as 5.2ml. The right dosage is 2.5ml as written on the medicine's box.
All packages with wrong information will be returned to the agent or local distributor until the mistake is corrected.
However, the medicine does not pose any risk to public health if taken in the right dosage.
