Dubai: Motorists in the emirate of Fujairah are in luck, as traffic fines issued on their impounded cars were slashed down to 50 per cent.
On Tuesday, a senior official at Fujairah Police announced that for the month of July, motorists can avail of a 50 per cent discount on the occasion of the Year of Zayed.

Major-General Mohammad Ahmad Bin Ganem Al Kaabi, Commander-in-Chief of Fujairah Police, said the reduction runs from July 1 – September 30, 2018.
“The decision was made to benefit citizens and residents on the occasion of the Year of Zayed, while on the other hand, the discount aims to raise awareness and educate motorists on traffic violations,” said Maj Gen Al Kaabi.
Brigadier Ali Rashid Bin Awash Al Yamani called on motorists to take advantage of the discount period to clear all their accumulated traffic fines, which led to the confiscation of their vehicles.
