Qatar announces Friday as first day of Eid Al Fitr

Doha: Qatar officially announced that Eid Al Fitr would be celebrated on Friday, April 21, following the sighting of the crescent moon.

Saudi Arabia also announced that Shawwal would begin on Friday. Oman confirmed that Eid celebrations there would start on April 22, Saturday.
