Al Ain: A gradual fall in temperature with chances of light rain in some areas is expected over the next few days, said weathermen, noting that the conditions in the country will remain partly cloudy for a few days.

Winds are also expected to gain strength overnight, blowing at 15 to 22 knots, but it will be much calmer during the daytime. The sea, however, will be rough in general with four- to six-foot waves offshore.

Partly cloudy weather is expected today and it could become completely cloudy. These conditions will continue until Wednesday, said a forecaster at the UAE weather bureau.

"We expect light rain over the extreme north of the country in the evening and night," he said.

According to the outlook for the next 48 hours, the weather will be partly cloudy in general, becoming cloudy at times, with a chance of light rain, especially in the northern parts of the country.

"Conditions will remain pleasant in general during the daytime and will tend to be cold at night, especially in internal and mountainous areas," said the weatherman.

A drop in temperature is also expected tomorrow night and Wednesday morning. Yesterday, the maximum temperature was 31 degrees Celsius in Al Ain, 30 in Ras Al Khaimah and 29 in the rest of the country.

It fell to 14 degrees Celsius at night in Ras Al Khaimah and 16 degrees Celsius in Al Ain. Dubai's temperature remained between 29 and 19 degrees Celsius.
