Dubai: Top government officials have hailed the historic decisions taken by President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan on the occasion of the UAE’s 40th National Day. 

In his comment, Mohammad Ahmad Al Murr, Speaker of the Federal National Council (FNC) said: “These resolutions are part of Shaikh Khalifa’s initiative to provide Emiratis with their needs and a dignified life, and ensuring that they receive all means of financial and social stability all across the UAE.”

He said the achievements and massive projects carried out under the leadership of Shaikh Khalifa, and Their Highnesses Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates and Founding Fathers of the UAE, reflects the Spirit of the Union, and strengthens national identity and feelings of loyalty to the nation. It is also proof of the wise UAE leadership’s farsightedness.

Dr Hadef Joa’an Al Dhaheri, Minister of Justice and Chairman of the Federal Supreme Court, extended his heartfelt thanks and gratitude to Shaikh Khalifa’s resolution, which included a 100 per cent basic salary raise for members of the judicial authorities and a raise for federal government employees.

He said these noble resolutions compounds the joy already felt with the advent of the 40th UAE National Day, and further strengthens feelings of loyalty and joy and the keenness to achieve even more accomplishments that would enhance the UAE’ standing.

Dr. Rashid Bin Fahad, Minister of Environment and Water, said: “As a country the UAE began its journey 40 years ago and accomplished tremendous achievements in all spheres; perhaps the most important was developing our human resources. Our wise leadership made all efforts to achieve this goal. And today we see the sons and daughters of the UAE occupy their places in all fields of work participating in building a bright future for this nation.”

Mohammad Bin Hamad Al Badi, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Justice, said: “The raise helps Federal Government employees provide the best standards of living for their families. They reflect the close follow up of the President on the status of the employees, who exert every effort in various fields for the progress and development of the nation.”

Dr Ali Al Khoury, Director General of Emirates Identity Authority said: “The 40 years of united hearts and the blessed march continues today with confidence towards development and prosperity. The 2nd of December will remain an immortal day that witnessed the establishment of a unique union to build a modern state and a glory to our nation.

Mohammad Jajal Al Reyaysa, Director of Communication and Community Services at Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority, said the most important aspect of the UAE that we need to remember and celebrate is the social harmony and public safety that distinguish this country from most others.

Abdullah Al Turaifi, Chief Executive of the Emirates Securities and Commodities said: “Shaikh Khalifa’s noble resolutions truly reflect his love for his people, especially that such generous initiatives came within the framework of the UAE’s celebrations of its 4oth National Day anniversary.”

Majid Ali Al Mansouri, Head of the Municipal Affairs at the Abu Dhabi Municipality, said the department will spare no effort to facilitate the implementation of Shaikh Khalifa’s decision regarding allocation of 2,500 residential plots for Emiratis stems from his keenness and deep belief in the need to provide UAE nationals with a dignified life and a better future that contribute to enhancing social and family stability.

“There is no better occasion other than the 40th anniversary of the country’s National Day to issue such historical decisions.”

Hussain Jasem Al Nowais, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Khalifa Fund for Enterprise Development (KFED): “The decisions will contribute to boosting security and social stability enjoyed by the UAE thanks to the wise policy and guidance of the President and Their Highnesses the Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates.
