Abu Dhabi:  General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, on Sunday received 100 orphans sponsored by Zayed House for Humanitarian Care and the UAE Red Crescent Authority (RCA).

As he received the orphans, Shaikh Mohammad affirmed the vital importance of participation of all categories of the society in international events the UAE is hosting as these activities produce positive impact in view of exchange of expertise, cultivation of human bonds and exposure to other cultures.

Shaikh Mohammad made his statement as he met on Sunday at the VIP Lounge of the Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, the largest indoor and first Ferrari theme park, a group of 100 orphans.

In a touch of love and parenthood, Shaikh Mohammad interacted with the children in the final day of the cultural and entertainment programme of the Yas Island Kids Club which coincided with the F1 race.

Shaikh Mohammad said he was extremely happy to have met with the jubilant orphans and urged them to pay more attention to academic attainment and participate in such events that help them build their character and personal skills.

He called on the organisers to intensify such fruitful programmes for the interest of those kids who constitute an inseparable part of the society that we are proud of for the role they play in the development of the dear country.

Shaikh Mohammad then took the bus with the orphans to the karting ring at Yas Marina Circuit.

The five-day programme aims at introducing children to the culture of the motor sport and engaging them in activities associated with the F1 races.
