Update: A Dubai Civil Defence spokesperson said: "It's a fire in a caravan near a construction site. Nobody was injured and Civil Defence teams controlled the fire."
The spokersperson later clarified that labour caravans, building materials and offices at the construction site were affected.
"We received an emergency call at 10.25am," the spokesperson said. "Firefighters from three stations controlled the fire."

Dubai: A large fire broke out on Saturday morning nearby the Jumeirah Golf Estates in Jebel Ali, sending thick black smoke and ash into the sky.
Police vehicles were seen racing towards the sight of the blaze, which was partially hidden from view by small sand dune.
A fire engine was also seen heading towards the fire at around 11:15am. The fire appeared to be coming from a construction site .
A Jumeirah Golf Estates security guard said that he had seen the fire start at around 10.40am.
Gulf News was unable to verify the exact source of the blaze. The smoke appeared to darken as the fire went on.
For several minutes around 11am, 10-20 metre high flames burst through the smoke.
A contractor who stood and watched the blaze said he was concerned that falling ash could pose a fire risk for Jumeirah Golf Estate residents.
