Doctors pledge support to Safe@Heart initiative

Programme aims to raise awareness on better cardiovascular health

Last updated:

Dubai: Around 250 doctors pledged support to the Safe@Heart initiative to help raise awareness for better heart health during the recent Emirates Cardiac Society Congress 2012.

Launched by the Cardiac Society and supported by AstraZeneca Gulf, a key component of the initiative is a free 12-week programme guide to a heart healthy lifestyle.

The initiative aims to provide the public with information on cardiovascular disease and its programme helps keep track of cholesterol, blood glucose and blood pressure levels.
