Abu Dhabi: The Minister of Interior emphasised the need for concerted efforts in the fight against crime, which he considered an enemy of all societies, and the need to enhance family protection, which represents the pillar of society, and to support the youth.
The comments were made in a meeting between Lt Gen Shaikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, with Zayed Saeed Saif, Chairman of the Emirates Association for Lawyers and Legal Consultants, at the Abu Dhabi Police Headquarters, as a part of the introductory meeting organised by the Khalifa Student Empowerment Programme Aqdar (meaning ‘I can’) with the Association.
This falls in line with the efforts to enhance and promote the concepts of mutual institutional work between all ministries, local and federal entities, private institutions and civil society institutions, as well as all other parties involved with students, as per the National Charter for Students’ Awareness.
Shaikh Saif issued his directives to hold open workshops to discuss all potential issues that will contribute to developing the systems and mechanisms of the Programme. He also called for providing an authentic and positive image of Emirati society and strengthening the social fabric and social communication with the aim of achieving the higher leadership’s goals in the growth and development journey witnessed by the country.
