Dubai: Prince Andrew, Duke of York, is making a four-day tour of the UAE beginning on Monday, according to the British Embassy in the UAE.
Prince Andrew’s itinerary includes a series of events in the country.
On Monday, Prince Andrew will host a boot camp for Pitch@PalaceUAE at Khalifa University followed by a visit to a manufacturing and engineering competition by students known as “Make it”.
He will host a reception later in the day for the organisation.
The Pitch@Palace Global aims to provide a platform to showcase entrepreneurs, connecting them to UK and international networks with the objective of amplifying their businesses. It also aims to develop links between the entrepreneurs from each of the global locations and UK entrepreneurs,” according to a statement from the British Embassy.
On Tuesday, Prince Andrew will visit Abu Dhabi Global Markets and later drop by Maudsley Clinic (UAE partner with South London and Maudsley NHS Trust) Later in the day, Prince Andrew is scheduled to attend a reception abroad RFA Cardigan Bay which is deployed to the Gulf.
British Embassy officials said Prince Andrew will visit Cambridge International School on Wednesday and later host a UAE final event of the Pitch@Palace at the Emirates Palace.
He is expected to return to the UK on Thursday.
