Dubai: Practical solutions and action plans are the keys to candidates' success in the Federal National Council (FNC) election Abdullah Al Hajri, a candidate from Dubai said.
He said, "A candidate who wants to take up a seat in the FNC should have a clear agenda supported by an action plan to tackle and solve the issues that UAE nationals face."
Al Hajri launched his campaign under the slogan "Your vote is your trust in me". He offered a series of practical solutions for several sectors, stressing that his electoral programme requires huge cooperation between the public and private sectors in order to get the desired results.
Al Hajri, who is the executive vice-president, customer services, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, graduated as an engineer from the faculty of computer science at Miami University. In his electoral programme, he is focusing on finding solutions quickly in the areas of education, health, employment, empowerment of women and tackling inflation.
Decreasing the unemployment rate in the emirates and easing plot distribution for Emiratis are also on his agenda. "Procedures and measures for plot distribution and housing loans should be facilitated and reorganised according to certain criteria to better serve the interest of the Emiratis," he said.
Emiratisation
Giving his priority to emiratisation, Al Hajri said, "We should enhance the Emiratis' involvement in the public and private sectors by offering them the right jobs and developing their competencies."
He also urged private companies to take advantage of Emirati expertise to achieve higher growth.
"We should work to increase the number of nationals in the private sector companies and raise the level of health services and offer effective solutions to the demographic problem in the Emirates," he said.
His campaign also stresses the importance of interactive learning.
