Kimberly Buffington leaves Dennis Quaid

Actor Dennis Quaid's third wife has filed for divorce, saying the couple's seven-year marriage has "become insupportable because of discord or conflict of personalities".

Kimberly Buffington Quaid filed a petition this month in Travis County, Texas, using the initials "B.K." and identifying Quaid as "W.D." But representatives for Quaid confirmed the split, saying a "satisfactory settlement is being worked out for both parties".

The divorce papers filed on March 2 were first reported on Friday by celebrity website TMZ.

The couple has twins Zoe and Thomas, born in 2007. Quaid previously married and divorced actresses P.J. Soles and Meg Ryan.
