Muscat: Three people were killed in a car crash on Sohar on Monday, according to the Royal Oman Police (ROP).

A speeding car carrying two women and a child collided with another vehicle, killing two occupants and seriously injuring one in the first vehicle, and killing the driver of the other vehicle and injuring its occupant.

A spokesperson for the ROP said that the crash caused one of the vehicles to split into two.

The ROP appealed against speeding and urged motorists to abide by traffic rules.
