Waiting for the signal to turn green at a pedestrian crossing may take longer than one might expect. Gulf News reader Mark Adraneda came across a non-functional pedestrian signal in Dubai.
He said: “I would like to report [the one in] the Abu Hail area, in front of Abu Hail Centre. It is very important that all pedestrian signals are working, for the safety of people who are crossing the street. I hope this message will reach the traffic authorities in Dubai, help them become aware of the situation and [take action]. We must not wait for an accident to happen.”
