The UAE Boxing Federation will organise the first UAE Boxing Championship at the Sultan bin Zayed Indoor Stadium in Al Wahda Club on Thursday, November 28 according to Sheikh Hamed bin Mohammed bin Butti Al Hamed, the Chairman of the UAE BF.

Salih Al Nuaimie, Secretary General of the BF, said that the organisers were finalising the preparations to ensure that the event is a success and helps to spread the sport in the UAE.

Al Nuaimie added that Salim Jamal, Hamad Mohammed, Abdul Latif Al Idrisi, Ammar Ali, Mohsin Abdulla and Yousuf Hamad will enter a training camp in preparation for Arab Under 19 Boxing Championshipm in Doha, Qatar from December 15-22.

A total of 18 boxers from the UAE have confirmed their participation in the championship which features competitions for weights from 40 kgs to 81 kgs with a first round competition for the boxers.

The boxers who will compete are: Sultan Sorrour vs Ibrahim Khamis (40 kgs); Abdulla Rashid vs Matar Dhahi (45 kgs); Hussain Ali Mubarak vs Ali Omar (48 kgs).

Salim Jamal Al Marry vs Shadi Al Zubaidi (51 kgs); Zayed Dous vs Salim Al Ameri (54 kgs); Mohsin Abdulla vs Ammar Ali Mubarak (57 kgs); Hamad Mohammed bin Hadhir vs Nasir Al Dous (60 kgs); Eissa Mohammed vs Mohammed Fayez (64 kgs); Abdulla Al Sinani vs Ahmed Barri (69 kgs); Abdul Latif Al Idrisi vs Mohammed Jamal (81 kgs).
