A Russian animal circus is set to entertain children visiting Al Ghurair City during the Eid holidays and in the New Year. Ten performing cats and four small dogs will take the spotlight at the circus, which will also feature a string of acts by clowns and other entertainers.

Two 30-minute shows will be held daily, commencing at 7.30pm and 8.30pm, from the first day of Eid until January 10. Al Ghurair City will also present Eid gifts to every child who visits the mall on the first two days of Eid.

An Eid greetings counter will be set up at the mall's information desk to handle the large number of young visitors expected to visit Al Ghurair City during the Eid and New Year holidays.

Avijit Yadav, marketing manager of Al Ghurair City, said, "Children are among our most valued visitors, so it is natural that we continue to provide them with entertainment on a regular basis."

The Eid Al Fitr and New Year celebrations cap a diverse programme of colourful activities and events that were staged at Al Ghurair City during Ramadan. The mall has been given a visual transformation for the festive season, including a range of decorative items like crescent moons and stars to reflect its Islamic and Arab character.

Al Ghurair is not the only commercial establishment going all out for the holidays. BurJuman has lined up a range of entertainment evenings designed to cater to the entire family.

Clowns, face painters and balloon twisters will appeal to the children, while adults can enjoy meals while listening to musicians. Between December 28 and January 2, the shopping centre will host a traditional Omani band which is scheduled to perform from 6.30 to 8.30pm each day.
