Etisalat yesterday announced the launch of a new service, which will enable customers to know the number of calls missed when their mobile phone is busy, switched off or outside the coverage area.

Subscribers to the missed call notification service will be notified of any missed calls via an SMS, when they switch their phone back on or are back within the coverage area.

At present, Wasel subscribers can receive notification of missed calls only if their phone is busy. The service is available to Postpaid, Wasel and Najm customers.

There is a one-off registration fee of Dh30. The two options to register are by calling 125 and following the voice prompts, or sending r mcn as an SMS to 1010.

In both cases, a confirmation SMS will be sent to the registering customer's phone. To enable the service, customers have to divert calls to 134.
