Abu Dhabi: General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, on Wednesday received a US Congress delegation led by Dana Rohrabacher, Chairman of the US House Committee on Foreign Affairs.

Shaikh Mohammad welcomed the delegation and discussed with them the relations between the UAE and US. They also discussed the keenness of both countries’ leaders to further enhance these relations for the benefit of both nations.

Shaikh Mohammad briefed the delegation on the vision of President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan for achieving comprehensive development. Shaikh Mohammad reaffirmed the UAE’s ambitions to make more achievements and national gains in various fields.

He also discussed with the delegation recent developments in the regional and international stage as well as international efforts exerted to achieve stability and peace in the region.

They stressed the importance of mutual cooperation to bolster peace opportunities and consolidate stability, as well as driving levels of development forward in the region.

Rohrabacher emphasised the US’s keenness to extend bridges of friendship and cooperation with the UAE, and pointed out the importance of exchange of visits between both countries’ officials to learn more about the levels of developments prosperity and progress enjoyed by the UAE.

Dr Sultan Ahmad Al Jaber, Minister of State, Michael Corbin, US Ambassador to the UAE, and other senior officials were present at the meeting.
