Private sector working hours reduced for Ramadan

Daily two-hour reduction in working hours won’t affect wages

Abu Dhabi: Private sector employees will enjoy a two-hour reduction in their daily working hours during Ramadan without any reduction in their wages, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation announced on Wednesday.

The announcement came following a decree issued by Saqr Gobash Saeed Gobash, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation, in implementation of the provision of Article 65 of the Federal Law No. 8 of 1980 concerning the regulation of labour relations and its amendments.

Gobash sent across greetings to UAE Rulers, citizens and all residents of the UAE on the special occasion.
