Abu Dhabi: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, affirmed the UAE’s full support to Spain’s national unity and territorial integrity.
Shaikh Mohammad stressed UAE’s support for Spanish government’s commitment to the constitution and laws in force in the kingdom, during a discussion over the phone with King Philip VI of Spain.
Shaikh Mohammad said the UAE was following with extreme interest the disturbing developments arising from the unilateral declaration of independence of Catalonia. He reiterated the need for the primacy of dialogue within the constitutional framework to preserve Spain’s unity and territorial integrity. The current problems can be solved through a serious dialogue based on constitutional and legal grounds.
