Sharjah: Discussions about a student and teacher exchange programme between the University of Sharjah and Faith Sultan Mehmet University in Istanbul took place today (Sunday) when a delegation from the Turkish university visited Sharjah.
During a meeting between Professor Dr Sami Mahmoud, director of the University of Sharjah and Dr Hikmat Özdemir former MP and President of the Board of Trustees of Faith Sultan Mehmet University in Istanbul, plans for joint cooperation in the areas of literature, Arabic, Islamic Studies, law and architecture, along with an exchange programme for students and faculty members, were discussed.
Conducting joint scientific research and launching lectures, seminars, workshops, conferences and academic programmes between the two universities were also among the future plans discussed between the two universities.
