More than 20 motorbikes driven by unlicensed teenagers were confiscated by Dubai police last week as part of a campaign by Rashidiya Police Station.

Colonel Abdullah Ali Al Gaith, acting director of the traffic department, said any such teenagers may be referred to court if it appeared they posed a danger to other road users.

He said most of the confiscated motorbikes would not be returned to their owners, so they would not have the opportunity to endanger the lives of others.
