Emirati girl died of suffocation after her parents left her in the car for six hours
ABU DHABI: A six-year-old Emirati girl died of suffocation in Abu Dhabi after her parents left her in the car for six hours, Abu Dhabi Police said on Monday.
Abu Dhabi Police expressed its deep grief over the incident and stressed it is parents' responsibility to take care of their children.
The police asked people to not leave their children unsupervised inside the cars under any circumstances and said it doesn’t matter if the air-conditioner is turned on or not.
The parents should take the children with them when they get out of the car, even when it’s only for a few minutes, the police advised.
