Abu Dhabi: The Zayed Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation approved 611 Emirati applicants for its 2018 Haj Programme.
The foundation said that it received a total of 1,162 applications, and the approvals were made as per certain priorities, such as age, health condition and the ability of applicants to perform Haj rituals, and ensuring that applicants have not applied before.
The foundation said that out of the 611 approved applications, 186 are men and 425 women.
It also revealed that it has signed a memorandum of understanding with Etihad Airways to transport the pilgrims on specialised flights and suitable dates.
