The world’s first ever Warner Bros. branded indoor theme park to open in Abu Dhabi soon
Theme parks are a constant hit with UAE residents and Abu Dhabi is going one step ahead with the world’s first ever Warner Bros. branded indoor theme park, to be called Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi.
All the rides and its six themed lands are based on stories and characters from DC and Warner Bros. Animation. Expected to debut in the summer this year, the Abu Dhabi venue will feature 29 immersive rides and family friendly attractions throughout.
Everything, no really… but here are some highlights
Metropolis is a modern, well, metropolis (city) protected by DC superheroes such as Superman, other Justice League heroes including Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Green Lantern, Cyborg and The Flash, along with the Teen Titans. The skyscraper city has a media conglomerate, Daily Planet, which reports on the fate of the Metropolis with a riveting battle of good versus evil in Superman 360: Battle for Metropolis.
Fans can also capture their visit to the Daily Planet at Front Page Photo, where they will appear on the front-page of the famed publication, and pick up special editions from the Daily Planet Newsstand.
The Green Lantern: Galactic Odyssey is promised to be an awe-inspiring 4D experience that transports guests across the cosmos to extraordinary worlds with multi-sensory special effects. Another attraction for young guests is the Teen Titans Training Academy, a multi-level play area featuring a zip line and other physical activities that invites up-and-coming heroes to showcase their skills alongside the legendary Teen Titans.
Tom and Jerry, Scooby-Doo and the gang, Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Tweety, Sylvester, Tasmanian Devil (Taz), Pepé Le Pew, Elmer Fudd, and many others are familiar to both kids and ‘kids at heart’. Mischief, games, mystery-solving and more are promised in this fantasy land.
There is also going to be a Gotham City, as immersive as Metropolis, along with 4 other lands which are Cartoon Junction, Bedrock, Dynamite Gulch, and Warner Bros. Plaza.
The venue is scheduled to open just in time for summer this year, when we would be craving some indoor fun. Dates have not been confirmed yet.
The prices haven’t been announced yet.
The attraction is set to open in Yas Island. Website
