Abu Dhabi: Though he was in poor health and in the waiting room of a hospital, Saudi teacher Ali bin Hussein Al Shatla did not let this stop him from teaching his students. Using the “Madrasati” (My School) online platform, he was able to conduct lessons on his mobile phone.
Al Shatla interacted with his students while he was in the waiting room of the heart clinic of King Faisal Specialist Hospital in Riyadh.
Al Shatla told Sabq he worked in Zaid Bin Haritha High School in Al Wahaba Center in Sarat Abidah.
“I arrived at the hospital at dawn on Wednesday. Before nine o’clock in the morning, the doctor gave me a contrast agent, in preparation for the heart imaging, and while I was waiting, I logged into the “Madrasati” platform through my phone and began preparing students and explaining the subject, amidst interaction from students,” he said.
“After the end of the class, a patient thanked me for my dedication, then he told me that he took several pictures of me, only to be surprised after hours by the calls coming to me from everywhere and the most beautiful feelings and best wishes of my students when they learned through the pictures that the lesson was broadcast 1,000km away from school and their teacher was not in good health,” added Al Shatla.
