‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ is loved by fans of the superstar across the country. The show began in the year 2000 and since then, has had 11 seasons with the 12th edition being in the production stage at present.

When news broke in early July that the iconic star Bachchan, 77, and his family members contracted COVID-19, it shocked fans of the famous movie family. Son Abhishek, his wife, actress and former beauty queen Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, and their daughter Aradhya had also tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

On August 2, Amitabh updated fans on Twitter that he had recovered and was heading home. "I have tested CoVid- have been discharged. I am back home in solitary quarantine. Grace of the Almighty, blessings of Ma Babuji, prayers & duas of near & dear & friends fans EF .. and the excellent care and nursing at Nanavati made it possible for me to see this day," he tweeted.
