Cairo: Four people of one family died after their vehicle flipped over in the region of Asir in south-western Saudi Arabia, according to medical and media reports.
The crash took place on Thursday on a road in the town of Bareq in the Asir governorate, initially causing three deaths and seven other injured, the Saudi online newspaper Sabq reported.
Later, a four-month-old baby died of her injuries after reaching a local hospital.
Spokesman for the Saudi Red Crescent in Asir, Mohammad Al Shehri, said the operations room received a report about the accident on a road leading to the western city of Jeddah.

“Three paramedic teams headed to the scene of the accident that resulted in three deaths and the injury of seven others, four of them were in serious condition,” the official added.
The injured were transported to the Bareq hospital by the Red Crescent medics and other teams, who had rushed to the site of the accident, he said.
All the 10 victims belonged to the same family, according to Sabq.
Road accidents killed 10,961 people in Saudi Arabia in 2017, according to official figures—making it one of the highest rates in the world.

The tragedies were mainly blamed on reckless driving.
Traffic accidents in the kingdom have dropped by 33 per cent over the past two years, a recent report by the governmental Traffic Safety Committee said.
The drop is attributed to stricter enforcement of road regulations and expanded use of relevant advanced technology.
