Dubai: The Omani moon-crescent sighting committee stated that Saturday the 25th of April 2020 is the first day of Ramadan after failing to see the moon.

The announcement was made after the committee’s meeting after Maghreb prayers to determine the beginning of Ramadan.

According to the Islamic calendar, the Arabic month comprises 29 or 30 days depending on the moonsighting.
