Manama: A Bahraini court on Wednesday sentenced a Filipino to 15 days in prison for "encouraging moral depravation" over the internet.

According to the case documents, the Filipino displayed pictures wearing women's clothes, a wig and heavy make up to attract potential clients. 

He will be deported after serving the prison term, the court said.

Soliciting and cross dressing are banned under Bahrain's laws.
