In a bizarre incident, unhappy with the “short underwear” that a tailor stitched for him, despite giving two-meters of cloth, a man in the Indian city of Bhopal, filed a police complaint. The man Krishna Kumar Dubey, on Thursday, approached police accusing the local tailor of stitching a pair of boxer shorts, “shorter than the required length”.
In his complaint, Dubey, 46, said: "I gave him two meters of cloth to stitch my underwear, but, the tailor stitched shorter underwear. I asked him to re-stitch, but he denied.”
A video of this, and a photo of the police complaint was shared on Twitter.
"The tailor charged me Rs70 (Dh3.43) and didn't even include the cost of the nada (the thread used to hold the shorts). Later, he gave me a short underwear," he said speaking to media.
Dubey, who lost his job as a security guard during the COVID-19 lockdown, said he is struggling to make end meets. He added that he had recently borrowed Rs1,000 (Dh49) from a friend to buy some essentials.
The police accepted the complaint, and advised him to approach a local court.
