The organisers are also introducing a weekly draw for a grand prize of Dh1 million during the 32-day festival. Tickets for the Lexus raffle are priced at Dh200 each, and will be available from December 24 at select outlets. A Dh64 million budget has been drawn up for the promotion.
The daily draws will offer the Lexus LX 470, with a retail price of Dh225,000, and an ES 300, which sells at Dh120,000. There will also be a Dh100,000 cash prize, with the winners having the option to choose either as cash or in the form of Mashreq Millionaire certificates for the equivalent sum.
Only 5,000 tickets will be sold for every draw. "A record breaking trend was witnessed last year when each day of the festival, the raffle would be completely sold out, encouraging Al Futtaim Motors (AFM) to develop the raffle further," said Ibrahim Saleh, chief operating officer for DSF.
AFM, the local dealership for Lexus, will also have a guaranteed buyback for the vehicles. The LX 470 will be taken back at Dh210,000, while the ES 300 will command Dh110,000.
In all, 128 Lexus vehicles are in line for the raffle winners.
"We consider it a privilege to be part of DSF and are happy to support such an event that is globally renowned to tourists and residents in Dubai," said Mark Davie, sales and marketing manager at AFM.
The raffle coupons will be available at Enoc and Eppco stations in Dubai. Select counters in Deira City Centre, Mercato Mall and at the Gold Souq will also be selling the coupons.
