Abu Dhabi: Dr Hadef Jua’an Al Daheri, Minister of Justice, has issued a decision to set up the moon-sighting committee for Ramadan for the Hijri year 1435, corresponding to 2014.
The committee, which will be chaired by the Minister of Justice, includes Sultan Saeed Al Badi, Undersecretary of the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department, and a number of other officials.
The decision called on all sharia courts in the country to sight the crescent moon and inform the committee.
The committee will hold a meeting after Maghreb prayer on Friday, 29th of Sha’aban, corresponding to June 27, at the Judiciary Department in Abu Dhabi.
