SHABWAH: The Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) yesterday inaugurated the Bi’ir Ali School in the Shabwah Governorate, as part of ongoing projects to rebuild vital infrastructure and facilities, especially in the education sector, and enhance the capabilities of liberated areas in the governorate, which is suffering from difficult economic conditions due to the war waged by the Houthi coup militias.

In a statement on the occasion, Abdullah Al Musafri, head of the ERC team, said that the UAE leadership placed a high priority on building the education sector in Yemen, as it played a major role in restoring hope and rebuilding the state. Al Musfari added that the opening of the school was also part of UAE efforts to construct, maintain and rebuild Shabwah’s infrastructure in all areas.

Local council and education officials expressed their sincere thanks and appreciation to the UAE for its generous and continuous support of the people of Shabwah.
