Al Ain: The UAE University (UAEU) on Thursday organised the 11th forum for mathematicians to introduce the latest modern theories and applications of mathematics in different aspects of life.

The five-day forum includes a series of conferences and a participation of more than 130 scientists and math researchers from Canada, Germany, France, US and the UAEU.

The participants will also share their expertise on finding mathematical models to reverse the effect of some proteins and enzymes of DNA which may help to understand some diseases and biological phenomena particularly cancer and Alzheimer — a most common form of dementia.

The mathematicians will also review and discuss different theories including the coding theory and cryptography that are indispensable parts of modern communications security. Previous studies have shown that employed security protocols are not 100 per cent secure and need to be further revised, said a spokesperson of the UAEU.
