Dubai: Two derogatory videos of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad performing Umrah, surfaced on YouTube yesterday.

In the footage one can hear the person taking the video calling Ahmadinejad a “pig” in a low voice, then calling out to the Iranian president, who waves at him and makes the victory sign and moves on. The man can again be heard calling him a “pig”. The video is in Arabic.

The videos had around 2,000 views at deadline time and drew varied reactions from its viewers.

Some backed the Saudi man for taking the footage and uploading it to the social networking site while some called him a coward for not saying what he said in a louder or more audible manner. Others condemned the action as it was done on the holy site of Al Masjid Al Haram (Grand Mosque in Makkah, home to the Ka’ba.

The uploader of one of the two videos left a comment saying that insulting people and using foul words is wrong especially during Ramadan. The uploader also explained that he found the video on Twitter and only re-uploaded it on YouTube. The uploader admitted his hate for Ahmadinejad for allegedly having a hand in the killings in Syria, but clarified that he did not support what the Saudi man did.

The video has been re-posted on a number of online forums and Facebook pages.
