Legendary actor MGR makes his big screen comeback with Kizhakku Africavil Raju.

This animated film, which features the late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Marudur Gopalan Ramachandran or MGR in the lead role is directed by Arul Moorthy and jointly produced by K. Ganesh and Prabhu Deva. The teaser of the film was released in Chennai on July 15.

The star’s cool attire, while riding a motorbike, will delight fans.

Kizhakku Africavil Raju was supposed to be the sequel to MGR’s hit movie Ulagam Suttrum Vaaliban and a dream project of the actor. But the project fell through owing to his political entry in 1977.

“I still remember the days when I used to watch MGR’s movies along with my mother,” recalled Deva. The actor-director’s father Sundar had choreographed four of MGR’s films.

“It’s a real big honour for our family,” added Deva.
